Sea & Landscape paintings in oil by Marjorie Davidson

Marjorie’s work is an exploration of the interplay of color and surface both in watercolor and oil. Her strong love of nature has focused primarily on the landscapes of Northern Lake Michigan and the Carolina coast.  The aim of her work is to capture the depth of feeling inspired by the quietest time of day, the movement of the sea, wind through trees, and the endless shifting of light over the land.

Inspired by her love of nature photography and her expertise with computers, color, and composition, Kristin has created unique digital works of art by layering her own photographs and utilizing Adobe Photoshop’s filters and effects. Her photo montages take on an otherworldly appearance, rich with colors and symbolism, mythology and archetypes, Kristin has fashioned a mystical world through her art melding the reality of nature with the magic of the unseen world.
