After a whirlwind tour spanning two years and five exhibitions, Michael Litewski’s distinguished painting “The Rosetta Stone” (Acrylic 26x26) returns to the Blue Moon Gallery for a special homecoming.
Litewski's current body of work features the impact of national & global trends and events on the “house and home” -- and the family unit within. "The Rosetta Stone" showcases, as its primary story, a house sliding off its foundation. The house is broken into three parts which symbolize our three branches of government. The piece also symbolically addresses the issue of climate change.
The gallery will be presenting a special exhibition on Saturday, November 20, from 6-9pm featuring “The Rosetta Stone” in a homecoming engagement along with several pieces from Litewski’s decades-spanning career. The exhibition will showcase Litewski’s progression as a creative and the evolution of his visual expression culminating in the success of “The Rosetta Stone.”
