We are honored and thrilled to present the exquisite works of both oil painter Kirk Kerndl from Lombard IL and encaustic artist Cindy Lesperance from northwestern IL. Both are award-winning artists.

Kirk's work draws inspiration from the tranquility found in the Midwest Landscape. Focusing on light and stillness within the landscape, he finds that the understated calmness helps counterbalance the chaos of everyday life. Kirk is a realist painter who also specializes in still life compositions.

Cindy's encaustic work has a contemporary graphic sensibility to it and is impeccable in its presentation. Her process incorporates a technique she developed where she applies small droplets of encaustic (a combination of resin, beeswax, and pigment) to the surface of a painting, one by one, then explores the relationship of these drips to the spaces in between them. The resulting patterns have become Cindy's unmistakably grand and bold -- and unforgettable -- visual expression.

Patricia Litewski drew inspiration from her massive flower and vegetable garden to create her latest polymer clay & mixed media floral compositions from her “My Garden” series. In addition to polymer clay, Patricia’s exquisite works feature antique & contemporary beads, rocks & minerals, wire, mirrors, and crystals on a slate or bark base. Each piece is alive with a vibrancy, multiple textures, and exacting detail evoking a truly different and elegant floral arrangement.

This exhibition opens July 24 from 6-9pm and will be on display weekends 1-4pm Saturdays and Sundays through August 15.
