We are proud and excited to present the joyful & intricate paper collage art of Laura Lynne from Aurora IL, illustrator Chet Griffith from Kenosha WI, and diorama artist Matt Darst from Round Lake Beach IL as this month's Guest Artists at the Blue Moon!

Laura is best known for creating boldly colored and whimsically designed mixed media art and murals in a fun children’s illustration style. She is inspired by the immersion in nature she had growing up in Wisconsin, yoga, fairy tales, and song lyrics. Her art training shows a sharp eye for color theory and elaborate compositions. Laura uses acid-free & lignan-free metallic papers, Golden brand acrylic painted papers, and her own photography archivally printed for her mixed media art.

Chet is an award-winning artist known for his complex graphite and ink drawings that explore both celestial space and our internal spaces. His works are steeped in mystical signficance featuring worlds that are opulent and beautiful and that feature powerful archetypes. Through his drawings, Chet invites viewers to escape into a world that is unabashedly human.

Matt creates highly detailed, complex, realistic dioramas featuring curiously mysterious scenes inspired by music, pop culture, sci-fi & fantasy imagery, folk lore, and storytelling. Each diorama is accompanied by a 12x12 mixed media backdrop painting, magnifying glass, and a rotating base. This unusual art form is a MUST SEE.

This exhibition opens June 26 from 6-9pm and is on display 1-4pm weekends Saturdays and Sundays through July 11.
